Introduction
September 11th, 2001 is a day that Americans will never forget. Almost 3,000 people died from the attacks carried out by Al-Qaeda, a militant islamic organization created by Osama Bin Laden, that day and because of the severity of this event, the United States, along with the United Kingdom, NATO, and some non NATO countries declared a "War on Terror." The term was coined by President George W. Bush and the end result desired by the US and its allies was to fight against terrorist organizations such as Al-Qaeda, and ultimately eliminate them. It is now over 10 years after this war has started and many people today still debate the merits of starting this war and whether it has been an overall success or failure.
